Some Pretty Flash Stuff

Go and Get Stuffed!  As mentioned previously, I LOVE music and currently jamming at a “grasshopper DJ” level but I also LOVE artsy fartsy stuff especially when it comes to party decorations!

When I first mulled over the idea of blogging I was literally sitting on my makeshift sleeping arrangements i.e. a pair of deflated air mattresses with a mink blanket underlay and some carefully positioned pillows and cushions.  I’d just finished attending to an unwanted “friend” in the bathroom which is just something you become accustomed to living on this side of the ditch and contemplating the karma of my actions.  Only the day before I professed I couldn’t possibly kill a spider, mainly because of superstitious implications, but I can definitely go full COD on cucarachas that’s for shizzle!  I may have squealed like a girl and used generous amounts of pine-o-clean spray in the process but hey, the job got done!

Speaking of process, when it comes to event planning and creating some pretty flash stuff, I like to jot down as many ideas as I can on anything and everything pertinent to the occasion, then of course there’s the numerous lists under each category which in turn have lists of their own and so forth.  Luckily I have this nifty Notebook document template with tabs etc on my trusty Mac so trees will no longer suffer for the sake of my “process” and Tane Mahuta will hopefully stop crying!

Now, a dear friend of mine is expecting her first bundle of joy in the coming month and has enlisted my help in organising her Baby Shower!  I’m extremely excited to say the least and immediately start envisioning the whole event and ready to get started…straight away-ish.   Here’s the item at the top of my “To-Do” list! With a little bit of paper, felt material and glue I beautifully hand-crafted Baby Shower Invitations with a pinch of Island flavour cos that’s just how we roll!
