The Miserables

You can be miserable or you can move forward. Possibilities are always there. It is your choice. ”

Ever continue doing the same  ol’ ish expecting different results???  Well, you’ve heard the same inspirational sayings all before and now the kool kids think they’ve invented something new and uber original with their memes etc, when in reality, history repeats itself and the same ol’ ish gets recycled and repackaged.

I’ve been wanting to make changes in my work life for some time now and finally my preparedness has met opportunity and the stars are aligning in my favour…now that I’m ready! And more importantly, now that I’ve grown some proverbial balls and decided to BE brave to follow through.

Everyone’s situation is different.  If you have a few more responsibilities than I do, like a family and a mortgage, you’d be foolish to have a eureka moment then quit your soul-sucking job the next day! Hulllllo, think about it and make a plan first!

Believe it or not, things don’t just happen out of thin air!  You’re kidding yourself if you think complaining about change will bring about change.  I need to BE the change to make it happen!  Why do people hope and pray for their situation to change yet they don’t make a plan to take action and make it reality?  I remember a homily once where this poor sod was hanging on the edge of a cliff,  waiting for God to save his aspiritius.  He sent him help three times in the form of his fellow man, but he was expecting God’s personal help, like he ain’t got more important ish to attend to.

People are trying to help us all the time, but we reject them if they’re not the so-called helpers we are expecting because of dumb reasons like different religion, race or sexual orientation.  At the end of the day, you are right where you want to be.

Anywho, Thursday was a great day!  I received some awesome news that brings my dreams that much closer to being a reality!  I got even more inspirated when real-life examples Nesian Street Clothing Sydney celebrated five years of overcoming unbelief, from humble beginnings to representing their gears on a global level!  Later on that night we checked out Red Bull’s Flying Bach, story-telling through dance and fusing the worlds of break-dance and Bach, as in Johann Sebastian!  Whod’ve thunk it? Hopefully their journey inspired my niece who accompanied us, a mean dancer herself, to Dare to Dream and follow her own passions in life too!

When I read examples of people doing well through dreaming big and taking action to make it a reality, I’m inspired to do the same!  But you gotta start somewhere!  And with the awesome support of my family and great mates, I was finally brave enough to take action in my own life and move forward.

So if you’re miserable, make the choice to move forward or stfu:)  The End.

Have a wonderful and non-miserable week…unless you prefer miserable, then have a miserable week xx
