How to Put Together an Awesome All-Star Candy Buffet
It’s like Candy by Cameo where everyone gets their shuffle on at the end of pretty much every Black American film I’ve seen to date, and that’s exactly what I felt like doing at the end of the day!
Speaking of hits, it has been a whirlwind of a week to say the least with the build up to my dear friend’s Baby Shower! The theme was NBA All Stars with our Mum-to-Be wanting to incorporate a blue and orange colour scheme. Now, I’m pretty much a professional when it comes to co-ordinating décor and colour schemes, but when it comes to Candy Buffets, I am definitely a novice! In all honesty, we were calling Candy Buffets a Sweets Table just a few weeks prior!
But fret not potential Candy Buffeters, after thorough research yet again, we found that a great Candy Buffet requires a few basic essentials! Candy, Cupcakes, Cake/Cakepops (or both) and some impressive glassware to display your goodies! But seeing as we were going for an All-Star Baby Shower Candy Buffet, we pulled out all the stops with a Miami Heat themed Banner and ribboned labels beautifully hand-crafted by our Mum-to-Be and her gorgeous sister.
It was actually surprising to find an assortment of affordable sweets in line with our colour-theme at specialist stores and even if you have sweets that don’t quite colour co-ordinate such as M&Ms, you can simply dress-up the glassware. When arranging your goodies, one is only limited by one’s imagination, however, when working with the Mum-to-Be, do whatever she wants, and everything will be perfect:) Before you know it, BOOM! all the elements come together and you’re standing from a distance in awe, admiring the fruits of your labour!
The Baby Shower was a hit and so too our Candy Buffet with a few guests opting to admire our creation for a moment before diving in like kids in a candy store. So there you have it, my very first Candy Buffet I’ve helped create and I can see all the possibilities under the sun! I wonder who the next lucky bugger will be to have one of these babies at their next event!…It could be you!
